Reception Class learning how to plant Daffodil bulbs, following in the footsteps of Queen Victorias' children. The pupils managed to plant over 2000 bulbs! Thank you to the Osborne House Team for helping us.
Chartwells COP26 workshop on reducing food waste.
We learned about the Hindu festival of Diwali and enjoyed creating and decorating our own diva lamps from playdough. We talked about how Hindu families celebrate with firework displays, which we also linked into our own Bonfire Night celebrations. The children used cardboard tubes, paint and glitter to create their individual paintings. We also talked about making sure we keep safe on Bonfire Night.
The children have been finding out about hibernation as part of our Autumn topic and we thought it was a good opportunity to bake some bread hedgehogs. They all were involved in making the dough and shaping their individual hedgehog and some children even brought them into school the next day for lunch!
